We chose Paulownia wood for a few reasons. One, it’s the fastest growing hardwood in the world, thriving in soil other trees won’t, allowing it to reforest large areas quickly. Two, there’s very little waste involved. Since Paulownia is a naturally knot-free wood, we can use every inch of it. Plus, the natural growth rings in the grain are beautiful and it doesn’t warp with water.
